19th IOAA hasĀ ended!

Over three hundred students from sixty four countries competed in the 19th International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad in Vietnam between September 25th to October 5th, 2026. The American team achieved an amazing result with 3 gold medals, 1 bronze medal, and 1 honorable mention. Moreover, one of our students was awarded the best team competition.

The USA IOAA team was selected by volunteer members of the USAAAO (USA Astronomy and Astrophysics Organization) based on candidates’ results in a selection exam. Training was conducted by volunteer mentors through video calls with the team members on the weekly basis through the summer.
